*About
conflicts with staff and players -
Conflict
happens. If you have concerns about ST bias, please
document the matters thru logging events, and taking
screenshots. Please, email your problems with STs to -
admin @ wodchat.com
(remove the spaces)
. An admin intervention
should be the last step, for when all other measures
have failed. Each case, will be handled
individually.
Venue
complaints need to be dealt with the Venues ST. Please
do not publicly post your complaints on the site.
Player
to player conflict, unless site rules are broken, or
there is blatant abuse - are not the concerns of this
site. In situation of abuse or cheating, please
document
(screenshots are best)
the situation for proof and submit to YOUR venue ST.
If a
abuse happens off the chat, such as in emails or IM
services - please screenshot and log the chat related
abuse. Again, forward it to us.
*About
Minors -
No
character or player under the legal age of consent may
engage in any form of sexual activity, or adult
behaviors while upon this chat. Characters that are
under the age of consent, may not be portrayed in sexual
situations. Players who are minors, need to respect
their legal limitations per where they live. Persons
found using/engaging with/as minors in activities not
suiting for minors faces outright site banning.
Do
not have a character in a sexual situation that is
legally of age, but APPEARS under age. Again, this is
grounds for RL legal troubles.
*Chain
of Command -
The
admin, is the LAST person you should go to. A players
first choice for contact regarding concerns should be
their own venue ST. If the venue ST can not resolve the
issue, then it will move up to the next higher up, and
so on. Admin is the top of the command, followed by head
STs, then lowest are the assistant STs.
*Character
Limits & Character Deletion -
You
are allowed to have 5 PCs. for the sake of our sanity,
and time, please do not try and get around this rule. To
delete a character you no longer desire, please contact
the venue St for that PC. Your ST will delete the sheet,
and once deleted the character is no longer valid on
this website for RP.
*Hiring
& Firing of Staff -
Each
case, will be handled uniquely. Staff who are hired are
REQUIRED to be knowledgeable about their systems,
and OWN the books / Ebooks for the game. Staff are
REQUIRED to be helpful to ALL players, and cooperative
to all other staff. We are here to have fun, and
being an ST (while challenging) has many rewards.
Players
will get a say in the matter. In cases of bluntly
illegal activity (such as using a minor in a sexual
situation, or hacking of the website) - staff will be
fired without question.
*Honesty
-
Players
and staff alike are required to be honest in all of
their OOC dealings. Lie, backstab, and be a weasel in
game all you want - but leave that for the game.
Cheating and lying ooc, depending on the situation is
grounds for the descantioning of the offenders a
character(s) outright.
*House
Rules -
We try to
stick with canon, for the sake of fairness to players.
by the use of canon, everyone has equal access to all
the information required to play. If there is a house
rule in place, it will be posted, per venue on this
website for equal access, and in the venues forum.

*Player
"Punishments" -
Sometimes,
players get out of line. Here are our methods for
dealing with players who are disrespectful. This is a
general outline, and depending on the degree offense the
punishment might be lessened/increased.

offense)

Removal stats on a PCs sheet
(3 dots, second offense)

Removal character from play for a period of time (1
day, 1 week, 2 weeks, permanent deletion)
*READ
YOUR BOOKS -
ALL
players and Staff are expected and required to have
knowledge on how to play this game, and own the core
books (ebook or real book) to play on this site. If you
do not know how to play, and you have no means of
getting the books to play, you should not be on this
site.
*Sexual
Situations -
Sex,
while it is a part of normal life and some of our
characters, does not belong on this site. The World
of Darkness is a game of personal horror, not a
Harlequin Romance novel. If you so desire to engage
in sexual relations, please do so off this website over
IM. We do not want cybersex in our game, or chat. If you
want cybersex, there are many websites specifically for
such activity - this is not one of those sites we are
here to roleplay. We
can and do see -everything- that happens in the chat.
*ST
personal Time -
Quality
STs are hard to come by, and are always in demand.
Please respect your ST if they are playing a character
of their own, as a means of downtime. STs are required
to offer this chat a minimum of 5 hours a week for ST
services, please email them if the situation is urgent
or find another ST.
*Closing
-
*We do not
believe we have covered all aspects of gaming and site
rules. We will set site rules in place as NEEDED. In
starting, we feel the less rules, and 'red tape' in
place the better.
